The Biographical Memoirs of Fellows of the Royal Society is an academic journal on the history of science published annually by the Royal publishes obituaries of Fellows of the Royal was established in as Obituary Notices of Fellows of the Royal Society and obtained its current title in , with volume numbering restarting at 1. Apply for Fellowship Fellowships are awarded to those who have made “an original contribution to historical scholarship”, normally through the authorship of a monograph, a body of scholarly work similar in scale and impact to a monograph, or the organisation of exhibitions, conferences, the editing of journals and other works of diffusion and dissemination grounded in historical scholarship.

A Fellow shall be a member of the Royal Historical Society of Victoria or an affiliated Member Society of ten (10) years standing who has rendered conspicuous service to the RHSV or one or more of its affiliated Member Societies, and to history.
